It’s been a bit since a formal update… I’ve had a really productive month. This included an awesome visit to Brooklyn, shooting some wedding photos, and starting several new projects. Check out my portfolio to see some new prints I’ve photographed over the month as well.
I had the chance to see a recent favorite of mine, Good Old War, play @ Best Buy in Hunt Valley last week…
Check out ‘Looking For Shelter’:
I’ve got a few photos from Brooklyn, a facebook page for Oh! The Story and some wedding photos to put finishing touches on. I will upload previews of each later this week. I can’t wait to share them. Thanks for visiting the site! Lots more on the way..
I took a visit to DC a few weekends ago to see my sister who lives around Howard University. Unfortunately, we didn’t pull out the camera for any of the barhopping, bike riding or Ben’s Chili Bowl from the previous night. I did, however, have a chance to snap a few photos with the D70 of the farmer’s market and our walk around town the next morning..
Branding concept for a Louisiana based church. I’m doing some blog design for them as we speak.. may not use the logo but thought it was worth sharing.
I’ve got several myspace layouts, posters and such I will be completing over the next week or so too… check back!
Here’s another piece I shot from the other day. “Play Nice” is a one color 8×10″ on fine art metal! Close up shots of each portfolio piece coming soon…
I know just what to say
but I can’t seem to get the words away
every time I ship an atom bomb
it comes right back to me
return to sender
I know just what to do
I need to try and take ahold of you
but to choke you, or stroke you, or stoke what glows inside of you
I can’t decide
I’ll just tie a millstone tightly around my neck
and I’ll dive deep into the bottom of the sea
take my resistance
take my anything
erase this vendetta
I’ll wash you clean
here’s my wide-berth, sure-shot, self-taught exit plan
I spent a good portion of my day shooting photos of an art series I recently completed.
It’s based off of the last album my old band, The Apathy Eulogy released. Using several traditional print methods, a wide format printer and ten different substrates (metal, canvas, rice paper, etc.) I’ve illustrated several songs and revamped the album art for vinyl packaging. Over the next few weeks I’ll post each of them on the site. The first, “I’d Rather Kiss A Tarantula, is 16×20″ and printed on Kitakata paper:
It’s been quite a while since a formal update! This past semester at school kept me VERY busy. I’ve been completely focused on creating pieces and seemed to have forgotten how much fun sharing is…
I have a lot of changes on the site planned for the summer. First, I will be making the switch over from dMEDIAcollective to a new domain name. The site won’t change too much, I’d just rather my portfolio be more personal. Here’s a possible design I finished the other day as a mock business card:
I’ll also be updating more about a new project I’m working on. The plan is to post sneak peeks of what I hope to have ready to launch by fall or winter. It will be a print related company, but I don’t want to give away too many details yet… I’ve got an overwhelming amount of ideas to sort through so it’ll be in the planning stages for a bit. I’m really looking forward to getting things moving!
Check back as I catch up with posting work I’ve completed over the past several months.
Greetings! I’ve just finalized a design for Washington DC’s SHANE GAMBLE. Code-wise, this is my most involved project to date. It’s loaded with content! view now.
I’ve just posted several new layouts including Boston, MA based YOUNG ASTRONOMY and Baltimore’s own STORM THE BEACHES. Both bands have just released new material off of their respective, upcoming EP’s. Check out their newly designed pages below:
Over the next several weeks i’ll be completing the rest of Storm The Beaches design/marketing for ‘Gifts From Sea’. I’ll be sure to post each piece including the final revision of the album art when it’s done.
I’ve just posted a set of photos from The Dear Hunter & The Annuals tour stop at The Ottobar in Baltimore, MD. Visit my new flickr page to check them out!
